Family Tuition Cap
To support families with multiple dancers, Stoney Brook Dance Nonprofit Association Incorporated offers a Family Tuition Cap. Once a family's annual tuition fees reach $4,500, no additional tuition fees will be charged for eligible dancers for the remainder of the season. Registration fees, costumes, competition fees, workshops, and other program-related expenses are not included in the tuition cap unless otherwise specified.
Additional Fees:
$30 Family Regisration Fee (Annual)
A non-refundable annual registration fee charged to each family upon enrollment. This fee helps offset administrative costs associated with registration processing, account management, communication systems, insurance administration, and program setup.
$20 Acro Equipment Fee (Annual per Acro Class)
An annual fee charged to dancers enrolled in acro classes (with the exception of acro intensive classes). This fee supports the purchase, maintenance, repair, and future replacement of specialized acro equipment and safety mats used during instruction.
$15 Costume Fee (All Costumes)
A non-refundable fee applied to each costume ordered. This fee covers costume administration, including measuring, sizing, ordering, tracking shipments, distribution, alterations coordination, and related costume management activities.
$50 Costume Deposit (Recreational Classes)
A costume deposit collected for each recreational class costume. This deposit is applied toward the final costume cost.
The total costume fee charged to families for recreational classes, including the costume itself, costume service fee, shipping, tariffs, duties, and related costume costs, will not exceed $100 per costume unless prior approval is obtained from the affected families before ordering.
$65 Costume Deposit (Intensive Classes)
A costume deposit collected for each Intensive Program costume. This deposit is applied toward the final costume cost.
The total costume fee charged to families for Intensive Program costumes, including the costume itself, costume service fee, shipping, tariffs, duties, and related costume costs, will not exceed $150 per costume unless prior approval is obtained from the affected families before ordering.
Costume Cost Approval
If the anticipated total cost of a costume is expected to exceed the applicable maximum amount, Stoney Brook Dance Nonprofit Association Incorporated will notify affected families and obtain approval prior to placing the costume order. Families will be provided with the estimated cost and given the opportunity to approve the additional expense before the order is finalized.
$150 Intensive Dance Competition Deposit (per Intensive Dance)
An Intensive Dance Competition Deposit of $150 per intensive dance is required for all dancers participating in the Intensive Program competition season.
This deposit is collected to assist with securing and funding competition-related expenses incurred throughout the season, including but not limited to competition registration fees, administrative costs, scheduling and coordination, music licensing requirements, coach and staff planning, and other competition-related operational expenses.
The deposit will be applied toward the dancer's competition fees for the season and will be reflected on the family's account. Any remaining competition fees owing will be billed separately once final competition registrations and associated costs have been confirmed.
Competition fees are non-refundable once registrations have been submitted or expenses have been incurred on behalf of the dancer.
$100 fundraising fee (refundable)
$100 volunteer fee (refundable)
