
Artistic Director, Hip Hop, Lyrical
Miss Steph began dancing at the age of three and has trained extensively in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, and hip hop. Over the years, she has completed numerous dance exams across multiple styles, building a strong technical foundation and a deep appreciation for performance and artistry. Her dance journey has also included competitions in various cities, where she gained valuable experience performing for different adjudicators and audiences.
Miss Steph has been recognized with special awards and scholarships celebrating both her technical skill and performance quality. After graduating, she continued her training at Drop In Dance in Winnipeg, further developing her creativity, confidence, and artistry as an adult dancer.
Miss Steph will now be stepping into the role of Artistic Director at Stoney Brook Dance Company. In this role, she will help guide the creative and educational direction of the studio, supporting class programming, instructor development, choreography, performance opportunities, and the overall dancer experience.
With her strong technical background, passion for performance, and commitment to creating a positive and supportive studio environment, Miss Steph brings both experience and heart to this leadership role. She is passionate about helping dancers grow in their technique, confidence, individuality, and love for dance.

Ballet, Pointe, Pre School, Jazz
Miss Angelica began dancing at the age of three and quickly developed a love for the art form, with a special passion for ballet and character dance. Over the years, she has studied a wide range of styles, including jazz, modern, character, and various folk dances. She is a proud graduate of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Teacher Training Program, earning her Cecchetti Associate Certificate of Ballet.
In addition to her Associate Certificate, Miss Angelica holds her Advanced 1 Cecchetti certificate and has received certifications from the Spanish Dance Society in both flamenco and Spanish dance. She has taught in studios across Manitoba, working with a variety of styles, age groups, and levels, and continues to grow as an artist by performing with Druzhba Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and The Bolero Dance Theater alongside her teaching career.
As an instructor, Miss Angelica is eager to share her knowledge and passion for dance with her students. She strives to guide them in developing strong technique while also fostering a deep love and appreciation for the art of dance.

Tap, Musical Theatre, Open
Miss Kiera trained at Stoney Brook Dance Company, where she developed strong skills across a variety of styles, with a particular strength and passion for tap. Her dedication to her craft earned her a scholarship to attend a summer intensive in Chicago, where she was able to learn from world-class instructors and expand her knowledge of dance.
Through her years at SBDC, Miss Kiera has gained valuable performance experience in competitions and recitals, building both her technical ability and her stage presence. She continues to refine her artistry and remains committed to growing as both a dancer and a teacher.
In the studio, Miss Kiera brings her love for rhythm, musicality, and precise technique to every class. She strives to create an upbeat, encouraging environment where students feel inspired to push themselves while enjoying the process of learning and performing.

Tap
Courtney is a passionate dance teacher and choreographer. She began dancing at the age of 7 and has since trained in multiple disciplines including Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theatre and Tap. Courtney has participated in Al Gilbert Tap Exams, many competitions, conventions, and learning opportunities such as workshops with renowned dancers and choreographers, as well as a theatre workshop in New York.
She has been recognized for her tap dancing through scholarships at Southeastern Manitoba Dance Festival, Manitoba Provincial Dance Festival and Dance Inspirations in Moose Jaw. She has also received special awards and highest tap overalls throughout several competitions and has received many of those accolades as a choreographer.
Courtney is excited to be back for the 2026/2027 dance season and is looking forward to sharing her joy of tap dance through teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers at Stoney Brook Dance Company.

Musical Theatre
Miss Izzy started dancing at the age of two and joined the competition team when she was eleven years old. All of her dance training has been completed at SBDC, where she has grown as both a dancer and a leader.
She currently trains in ballet, jazz, lyrical, open, musical theatre, and contemporary, with musical theatre and open being her favourite styles. Her favourite part of dancing is performing on stage with her friends and sharing memorable experiences together.
As a teacher, Miss Izzy takes great pride in her students and loves seeing how much they grow and improve. She is passionate about helping others, building meaningful connections with children, and creating a fun, supportive environment where every dancer can develop their confidence and skills.

Jazz
Miss Claudia began dancing at the age of five at Stoney Brook Dance Company. Her love of dance started with tap and ballet and grew as she trained various styles including jazz, lyrical, contemporary and hip hop.
She has had many opportunities to participate in various competitions and conventions to further her experience and knowledge of dance. Through her dedication she was able to compete with Winnipeg’s top hip hop crews Prodigy and Legacy. With these crews she was able to compete at various competitions across Canada including Artist Emerge Edmonton, Artist Emerge Vancouver and Peg City Movement.
In her dance career she has had the opportunity to train her technique and learn from a variety of talented choreographers. She learned from many of them through IDance convention where her hard work was recognized with a scholarship. While
competing she’s been recognized for technical and artistic excellence with stand out dancer awards from various competitions.
Miss Claudia’s goal is to bring the same passion of dance to her students. She strives to make her classes a safe space for discovery and learning. She’s excited to help each dancer grow and discover how they shine in class and on stage.

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Acro
Miss Kailey discovered her love for dance at the age of six when she began training at Stoney Brook Dance Company. She has studied a wide range of styles, including tap, acro, jazz, and ballet, and has built a strong foundation through years of dedicated training. She has successfully completed multiple exams in the Al Gilbert, ADAPT, Cecchetti, and Acrobatic Arts syllabi, and her versatility has allowed her to grow and excel in each discipline.
Her commitment and talent have been recognized through multiple awards and scholarships at dance competitions. Miss Kailey’s passion for learning continues as she works toward her goal of earning both a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Education, combining her artistry with her desire to teach. She will also be beginning her training with the ADAPT Teacher Training School and is working toward her Acrobatic Arts certification, further supporting her development as a well-rounded dance educator.
Miss Kailey is excited to share her love of dance with her students, aiming to inspire them through the beauty, discipline, and creativity the art form provides. She hopes to encourage each dancer to discover their own unique voice, confidence, and joy through movement.

Jazz, Lyrical
Miss Hailey has focused much of her training on jazz, lyrical, and acro, developing versatility and strength in both technical and expressive styles. She has a particular passion for teaching jazz jumps and turns, guiding students to improve their precision, control, and performance quality.
Her dance experience has given her a strong understanding of how to combine technique with artistry, allowing her to help dancers not only master skills but also bring life and personality to their movements. Miss Hailey’s enthusiasm and attention to detail make her a motivating presence in the classroom.
As a teacher, Miss Hailey encourages her students to set goals, work hard, and celebrate their progress along the way. She is excited to share her love of dance and to help each dancer discover their own style and confidence.

Acro, Contemporary
Miss Kayla has been dancing for most of her life, beginning at the age of two and joining the competitive team at thirteen. Over the years, she has trained in a variety of styles, with a special passion for acro. Her dedication and skill have been recognized with multiple awards, including two Golden Tickets at Dance Canada for her acro solos, as well as a scholarship and the highest-scoring acro routine for her solo last season.
In addition to her achievements on stage, Miss Kayla has been sharing her love of dance with younger students since she began assisting in classes at the age of fourteen. This experience has helped her develop a patient, encouraging teaching style that motivates dancers to challenge themselves and reach their potential.
Miss Kayla is a certified Acrobatic Arts Instructor and is excited to work with our acro dancers this year, bringing her enthusiasm, creativity, and technical knowledge to every class. She hopes to inspire her students not only to grow as dancers, but also to discover the confidence and joy that comes from expressing themselves through movement.

Yoga Fitness
Miss Shawna is passionate about fitness, nutrition, travel and improving one’s healthspan. These passions, along with inspiration from aerobic workouts and dance in childhood and a later development of a love for barre, Pilates and yoga as a young adult, have led her to pursue Manitoba Fitness Council’s Exercise Theory and Yoga Instructor Certifications.
In her classes, Shawna incorporates these different modalities and passions, providing a safe environment to learn and flourish. Gentle flowing body movements, stretching, strength building, mindful breathwork and guided relaxation are blended to further develop muscle flexibility, joint mobility, posture and mental clarity. Shawna’s goal is to improve one’s ability to carry out activities of daily living, decrease one’s stress level, inspire body awareness and acceptance and prioritize one’s overall health.
